Used Masks
These top two masks i used found materials, latex and paint to build up the aesthetics of the buoy masks, the colour acting as the main uniformity, as well as common links to the sea i.e. rope, seaweed etc
These three masks were made out of copper, working in a similar way to
the
colours of the old buoys by using strips of metal to replicate the striped colours of the rest of the
buoys
. I decided using pop rivets would be the best way of joining the metal, for
replicating
the
aesthetics
of the buoys and also they act as a
decoration
for the masks.
These last two were pure latex and paint, using a mould of someone's face to start from and then building up but in a much simpler way.
