This set up created a narrative producing an absent, fictional protagonist. I wanted to invite people to participate with the work provoking an unsettling feeling. The set up is based on a classic horror/thriller set up in which an implied event has happened or will happen. The display of this work was a new way of working for me and although i enjoyed doing it and i certainly achieved a reaction, which i wanted - anticipation, disgust, intrigued - the set up wasn't inviting to people to be touched or interacted with.
Here i was exploring how to display the work so that people would come in and wear the pieces, but without a sign necessary. The hooks provided a link to the wearability however, it still prescribed itself to the classic white wall gallery - something i want to step away from, and explore the idea of creating an experience, a set up that is fully immersive.
